Dalmia Bharat Commissions 3.6 MnTPA New Clinker Line at Umrangsho Plant, Assam

Guwahati, January 21, 2026: Dalmia Bharat Limited (DBL), one of India’s leading cement manufacturer, has announced the commissioning of a 3.6 MnTPA clinker Line 2 at its clinker plant in Umrangsho, Assam. The commissioning strengthens Dalmia Bharat’s manufacturing capabilities in the Northeast, a region witnessing sustained growth in infrastructure and construction activity. With the commencement of commercial production at the new clinker line, the Company’s total clinker capacity has increased to 27.1 MnTPA, while its overall cement capacity stands at 49.5 MnTPA.

The development follows the company achieving an installed capacity milestone of 49.5 MnTPA in FY25 and is part of its phased expansion roadmap. The Company has reiterated its guidance to reach 34 MnTPA of clinker capacity and approximately 62 MnTPA of cement capacity by Q2 FY28, supporting its longer-term growth ambitions of 75 MnTPA by FY28 and 110–130 MnTPA by 2031.

Dalmia Bharat has been steadily expanding its presence in the Northeast, including the commissioning of a 2.4 MnTPA cement grinding unit at Lanka, Assam, in 2025.
