Madurai, February 2, 2026: Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), in collaboration with GHCL Foundation, inaugurated World on Wheels, a digital education initiative aimed at strengthening digital literacy, livelihood skills, and financial awareness among communities in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. As part of the collaboration, Dalmia Bharat Foundation and GHCL Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement the initiative and deliver focused digital learning and awareness programmes across identified communities in the region. The initiative will deliver digital education to students and youth, entrepreneurial and financial literacy training to women, and awareness on government welfare and social security schemes through structured learning modules and audio-visual sessions. The programme is expected to benefit over 5,000 beneficiaries, with a strong focus on government and government-aided institutions.
The World on Wheels was inaugurated in Madurai by Mr. Marshell Rajendra Kumar Sonavane, CEO, GHCL Textiles Ltd, and Mr. Aswin Kumar, Operational Head, Dalmia Bharat Foundation, in the presence of representatives from both foundations and local stakeholders.
