Dalmia Bharat Foundation honours 24 achievers with ‘Prativa Samman Award 2026’ for excellence in academics, culture and social service in Odisha

Cuttack, January 27, 2026: Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the CSR arm of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd, through its Kapilas Cement Works (KCW) Unit, marked the outstanding achievements of school students by presenting the prestigious ‘Dalmia Prativa Samman Award 2026’ at a special event held on January 26, 2026.

On the occasion, 18 students from Classes 10 and 12 and six social workers were felicitated for their academic excellence and social service. These high achievers were selected from 17 schools across neighbouring panchayats in the Cuttack and Jajpur districts of Odisha. In recognition of their hard work and dedication, 17 students excelling in education received a cash prize of ₹2,500 each, while six outstanding social workers were presented with a trophy, certificate and gift.

Mr. Debi Prasad Das, Unit Head-KCW, Cuttack graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, accompanied by executives, workmen, guardians and other dignitaries.

Established in 2009 (by the former company OCL India Ltd) in Kapilas, the 'Prativa Samman Award' underscores the company’s commitment to holistic development of students, recognizing not only academic but diverse talents within the communities it serves. Over the years, the 'Prativa Samman Award' has seen distinguished attendees, including notable figures like Omkarnath Mohanty, the Vice Chancellor of Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), in 2018.
