Bhubaneswar, 7 January 2026: Reaffirming its 75-year association with Odisha and its communities, Dalmia Cement, one of India’s leading cement manufacturing companies, participated in Dhanuyatra 2025, one of the world’s largest open-air theatre festivals, held in Bargarh from 24 December 2025 to 3 January 2026. During the festival, the town of Bargarh is transformed into Mathura, bringing to life episodes from the life of Lord Krishna, with King Kansa at the heart of the narrative. As part of the festival, Dalmia Cement set up a thoughtfully curated Brand Pavilion, which emerged as a key attraction during the ten-day celebration. The pavilion showcased the company’s legacy and lineage in Odisha, from landmark projects such as the Hirakud Dam, the iconic ‘Shuttle’ Badminton High Performance Centre, and its continued investments in the state, including the single largest cement manufacturing - reflecting its commitment to inclusive development and the Building Bharat philosophy.
Commenting on the initiative, a company spokesperson said: “Dhanuyatra is a living expression of Odisha’s traditions and collective values. Our association with the festival reflects Dalmia Cement’s belief that communities, culture, and development must progress together. For over 75 years, Odisha has been central to our journey, and this engagement is a reaffirmation of that bond.”
Additionally, in line with its community-first ethos, the company used the platform to recognise key contributors across its ecosystem through multiple on-ground activations. These included the felicitation of 30 meritorious schoolchildren, the ‘Shilpakaar Sanman’ honouring 35 masons, engineers, and craftsmen, and engagement with channel partners from the Sambalpur and Bargarh districts, creating meaningful touchpoints with communities and stakeholders. The pavilion also featured a legacy wall celebrating decades of association with Western Odisha and the communities that have grown alongside the brand. Together, these engagements generated strong emotional resonance, turning the pavilion into a space of pride, belonging, and collective celebration.
Rooted in Odisha for over 75 years, Dalmia Cement’s presence at Dhanuyatra reflected not just a celebration of culture, but a continuation of a relationship built on shared history, infrastructure development, and community trust.
