Dalmia Cement Launches Mobile Medical Unit in Chhindwara to Enhance Rural Healthcare

Chhindwara, 7th June 2025: In a significant step towards enhancing community healthcare access, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd. (DCBL), one of India's leading cement manufacturers, through its Mandla North Coal Mine team, inaugurated a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) on World Environment Day in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. Through this mobile unit, Dalmia Cement seeks to support the region with regular healthcare services, especially in hard-to-reach areas. The MMU will provide free medical check-ups and medicines to villagers across seven project-affected villages- Bichhua Pathar, Sanwala Dhana, Devri, Sethiya, Sirgoda, Mandla, and Tendu Kheda — and will be staffed by a doctor, nurse and pharmacist. The MMU was officially flagged off by Mr. Sandeep Kumar Jain, Deputy Executive Director – Coal Operations, DCBL, in the presence of company officials and Mr. Sameer Jaiswal, Team Leader, Wockhardt Foundation.
