Dalmia Bharat Commences First Cement Dispatch from Chunar Grinding Unit

Chunar (Mirzapur) Uttar Pradesh, June 20, 2026: Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (“DCBL”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dalmia Bharat Limited, today marked a significant milestone with the successful dispatch of the first consignment of cement from its Chunar Grinding Unit in Uttar Pradesh The inaugural dispatch of 30 tonnes of cement was made to the revered Maa Vindhyawasini Temple in Vindhyachal, Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh

The occasion was commemorated through a formal flag-off ceremony attended by senior leadership and members of the Chunar Grinding Unit team. Present at the event were Shri Rajesh Srivastava, Unit Head – Chunar; Shri Gaurav Singh, Project HR Head; Shri Gopa Kuttan, National Security Head; Shri Pramod Kumar, Unit Head – Churk; Shri P.K. Singhania, Advisor; Shri Manish Goel, Technical Head, along with executives, workmen and contractual workforce associated with the project.

The commencement of dispatch operations marks the operational readiness of the Chunar Grinding Unit and reinforces Dalmia Bharat's commitment to strengthening its manufacturing and distribution network across North India. With a production capacity of 2.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), the unit is strategically positioned to cater to growing customer demand across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and adjoining markets, enhancing service efficiency and market reach.

Achieving the first dispatch in less than a month of the asset transfer on May 22, 2026, stands as a remarkable milestone and one of the fastest post-acquisition operational ramp-ups, underscoring the agility, collaboration and dedication of the Chunar team.

The successful commencement of the dispatch represents months of meticulous planning, project execution and teamwork. As the first truck rolled out of the facility, it symbolized not only the start of commercial operations but also the beginning of a new chapter in Dalmia Bharat's growth journey.
