Dalmia Bharat Foundation Achieves 100% Placement for DIKSHa Trainees in Dalmiapuram

Celebrates the achievements of 75 youth at a special valediction event

Trichy, April 16, 2025: Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, hosted a valediction ceremony in Dalmiapuram to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of youth trained under its flagship skill development program, DIKSHa. A total of 77 trainees were felicitated for successfully completing their respective courses, with all of them securing (only 27 HHA trainees got placement with the salary range of Rs.15000-24000/ month, SMO trainees 5 got placement and remaining are going to perform self-employment) job placements, achieving an impressive 100% placement rate. Among the graduates, 27 youth from neighboring villages completed training in the Home Health Aid course and have begun working in the healthcare sector. Additionally, 50 women were trained as Sewing Machine Operators, equipping them with essential tailoring skills to pursue employment or start their own entrepreneurial ventures. The ceremony served as a proud moment for the trainees and their families, reinforcing DBF’s ongoing efforts to bring meaningful change at the grassroots level.

Mr. K Vinayagamurthi, Executive Director, DCBL, Dalmiapuram, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, along with senior members from the Dalmia Bharat Foundation team. In his address, Mr. Vinayagamurthi shared, “At Dalmia Bharat, we believe that skill development is the foundation for a stronger, self-reliant India. Through DIKSHa, we are committed to creating inclusive opportunities by equipping both young men and women with practical, industry-relevant skills. It is especially encouraging to see that two-thirds of our recent trainees were women, reflecting our focus on empowering communities through gender-inclusive development.”

DIKSHa is a flagship community initiative by Dalmia Bharat that focuses on equipping youth with industry-relevant skills to help build a future-ready workforce for India. It currently runs 23 training centers across different locations. To date, 22625 individuals completed training through DIKSHa and in the FY 2024-25- 6925 individuals have completed training through DIKSHa, with many earning monthly incomes between INR 8,000 and INR 24,000. Notably, 63% of the trainees are women, underscoring the program's strong commitment to gender inclusivity and empowerment. This initiative plays a vital role in helping communities become more self-reliant by improving employment opportunities and livelihoods.
