Lucknow, June 11, 2026: Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Dalmia Bharat Ltd., organized a valediction ceremony under its mobile digital learning initiative, World on Wheels (WoW), at V.S. Public Inter College, Kursath, Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. Implemented under the CSR initiatives of Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries Limited, Unit Gangapur, Hardoi (UP), the program aims to expand access to digital learning opportunities in rural communities. As an outcome of this initiative 90 students, including 40 girls and 50 boys from Kursath and 13 nearby villages successfully completed the digital literacy training program. Launched in October 2025, the Program seeks to bridge the digital divide by equipping rural youth and women with essential digital skills that are increasingly in demand across industries and sectors. The course is being conducted within the WoW Bus—a solar-powered, internet-enabled mobile digital classroom—the training covers computer operations, internet usage, email communication, file management and online safety. During FY 2025-26, the initiative benefited 280 students, helping them enhance their digital awareness and preparedness for education, employment and everyday life in an increasingly digital world.
The event was graced by distinguished guests including Mr. Tej Narayan Singh, Unit Head, Mr. Maan Singh, Gram Pradhan, Kursath; Mr. Vikram Singh, Chairman, Nagar Panchayat Kursath; Mr. Raj Bahadur, Principal, V.S. Public Inter College and along with members of the Dalmia Bharat Sugar management and Dalmia Bharat Foundation team.
