Dalmia Bharat Foundation Hosted a Valedictory Ceremony for 75 DIKSHa Trainees in Dalmiapuram

Trichy, May 31, 2025: Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, hosted a valediction ceremony for 75 trainees who completed skill development courses under its DIKSHa programme in Dalmiapuram. Certificates were awarded to the trainees from three trades - Assistant Electrician, Domestic Plumbing and Home Health Aide. Additionally, customized tool kits were distributed to all, providing them with the necessary resources to either join the workforce or offer independent services in their local communities. Each training module ran for three months combining classroom instruction with practical sessions and life skills coaching. The event was graced by dignitaries from Karur Vysya Bank including Mr. Vishnukumar, KVB Divisional Manager, Mr. Venkatesan, KVB CSR officer. Also present were, Mr. Manimaran, Principal of Dalmia ITI, Mr. Gowri Shanker, ITI Trainer and Mr. Moidheen Kutty, DGM, DCBL.

Speaking about the event Mr. Vinayagamurthi, Unit Head & Executive Director, DCBL said, “Skill development goes beyond employment; it’s about empowering individuals with dignity, independence and hope. By equipping our youth with practical skills and the right tools, Dalmia Bharat is committed to creating a future-ready workforce, ensuring they can drive progress in their communities, and build resilient futures for themselves and their families.”

DIKSHa is one of Dalmia Bharat Foundation's most effective community initiatives, focused on equipping youth with industry-relevant skills to help build a skilled workforce. It currently runs 23 training centers across 11 states in India. To date, 22,625 individuals have completed training, with many now earning monthly incomes ranging from INR 10,000 to INR 24,000. DBF remains committed to expanding DIKSHa’s reach, continuing to bridge skill gaps and open pathways to economic opportunity for the youth.
