Dalmia Bharat Foundation Strengthens Educational Support for Children in Rural Communities of Chandrapur

Chandrapur, August 13, 2026: Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the CSR arm of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited extended educational support to students of Zilla Parishad Schools in Wanoja, Naranda and Pipari villages under Korpana Block in Chandrapur District, Maharashtra. As part of the initiative, 200 school bags were provided to students from Classes 1 to 7, helping support their day-to-day educational needs. The initiative was undertaken in response to a request from the respective Gram Panchayats, reflecting DBF’s commitment to addressing the needs of communities in its focus areas. In rural communities, where access to adequate educational resources can often be a challenge, such support plays an important role in encouraging children to continue their schooling and pursue their learning with confidence.

The programme was graced by Mr. Arvind Barua, HR Head; the President of the School Management Committee; the School Headmaster and teaching staff; Mr. Dilip Pachbhai, Sarpanch, Wanoja; and Mr. Prashant Bhimanwar, CSR Location Lead, along with the DBF team.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pranab Kumar Nayak, Unit Head, DCBL, Chandrapur said, “We are happy to support students from our neighbouring communities with essential resource that will assist them in their day-to-day schooling. At Dalmia Bharat, we remain committed to working closely with local communities and contributing towards creating an enabling environment for children to learn, grow and pursue their aspirations."
