Bokaro, June 29, 2026: Reinforcing its commitment to community health and well-being, Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the CSR arm of Dalmia Bharat Ltd., one of India’s leading cement companies, organized a Gynaecological Health Camp for women and adolescent girls of Marafari Panchayat in Bokaro. Women's health challenges continue to be a significant concern in India, with nearly half of adolescent girls affected by anaemia and many women facing reproductive and gynaecological health issues that often go undiagnosed due to limited awareness and inadequate access to specialised healthcare services. Recognising the importance of early diagnosis and preventive care, the initiative aimed to promote awareness on menstrual and reproductive health while improving access to quality healthcare at the community level. The health camp witnessed the participation of more than 100 women and adolescent girls from the surrounding communities, who benefited from expert medical consultation, health counselling, and free medicines. The medical consultations were led by Dr. Sudha Deo, a renowned gynaecologist with over 35 years of experience, who voluntarily offered her expertise during the camp along with her two team members.
The programme was graced by Shri Mahesh Sharma, Line II, Project Head as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present included Smt. Basuki Devi, Mukhiya, Marafari Panchayat; Smt. Kalyani Devi, Panchayat Samiti Member; ward members of Marafari Panchayat; and the secretary of the Ladies Club.
Speaking on the initiative, Shri Sunil Kumar Bhusari, Unit Head, Bokaro DCBL said, " At Dalmia Bharat, we are dedicated to building healthier communities through meaningful and inclusive interventions. Women’s health is fundamental to stronger families, resilient communities, and a healthier future for the nation. By promoting awareness, encouraging early consultation, and improving access to healthcare, we aim to empower women and adolescent girls to make informed health decisions and lead healthier lives.”
Dalmia Bharat Foundation continues to strengthen access to quality healthcare services in its communities through health camps, preventive healthcare programmes, awareness sessions, and medical outreach initiatives.
