Dalmia Cement Celebrates Women Entrepreneurs at its Belgaum Unit on International Women’s Day

Belgaum, March 11, 2026: Celebrating International Women’s Day, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), one of India’s leading cement manufacturers, organized a community programme to at its Belgaum unit bringing together 180 women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and nearby communities. The event honoured 22 local women entrepreneurs, recognizing their exceptional achievements in their business initiatives.

As part of the programme, 8 SHG women members received federation loans amounting to ₹1.60 lakh to support and expand their entrepreneurial activities, which include two kirana stores, two stationary shops, four tailoring units, three cloth shops, four footpath vegetable shops, two home industries, two tailoring tuition classes, two petty shops, and a cool drink shop. The event also featured a women’s products sales-cum-exhibition showcasing local expertise in roti making, embroidery, papad making, bakery items, and various home industries.

The event was graced by Shri Prabhat Kumar Singh, Unit Head, DCBL Belgaum, along with Dalmia Cement officials and members of the local community.
