Dalmia Institute of Construction (DIC), located in Trichy, Tamil Nadu,is one among the most notable noble initiatives taken up as a Corporate Social Responsibility by Dalmia cement (Bharat) Ltd., way back in 2008. DIC, is a first of its kind in preparing students for supervising construction, especially usage of cement and concrete. The concept of developing the surrounding community simultaneous to the growth of industry is best manifested by this activity. DIC has envisaged a growing India with innumerable opportunities for infrastructural growth in the country and a contrary situation of shortage of skilled & professional manpower to fulfill the growing demands of the construction industry in near future. The dedicated team of DCBL, has decided to launch a project for creation of intellectual asset out from the needy village students of families below poverty line and train them up to make them shine high in the field of modern construction industry.
